She would like us to recognize 🎉Shaston Marks🎉, Social Studies teacher at Jones MS! She says that Shaston...."builds positive rapport with each individual student. He creates engaging lessons for students to learn TEKS goals. This year he implemented a graffitti wall to encourage participatory responses from his students. This activity was acknowledged by the social studies program director, Deborah Johnson."

On May 8th, Aldine ISD STEM, in partnership with Microsoft TEALS, Target, Code.org, Rice University Mathematics Program, and University of Houston (Main Campus) will take over the Aldine ISD Bamberg Staff Development & Resource Center for the first-ever Computer Science Festival. Elementary, Middle, and High School computer science students, as well as coding club members from around the district, will convene under one roof to showcase their web, app, or computing device successes they have created during the school year.

After careful consideration the Aldine Film and Photography Festival has made the decision to extend the deadline for film submission by one week. to April 16, 2021. We will need all films submitted as outlined in the entry rules promptly as judging will begin immediately. This extension is only for the film portion of the festival. Please follow the photography timelines as set. Entry information can be found here. We can't wait to watch your videos!
