Egyptian Clothing and Jewlery

Rich Egyptians wore head dresses and lots of jewelry. Men wore skirts that wrapped around and tied at there waist. Women wore full length dresses with shoulder straps.Rich people had soft linen and the poor had rough linen.They usually were barefoot otherwise they wore sandals. children didn't wear clothes until they were 6 years old.

The men and women wore makeup it is made of black kohl, powdered minerals, and henna dye. They put creams and oils on their skin. They used makeup to help to protect their eyes and skin from the sun .

Man and women wore heavy bracelets, earring, and necklaces. Neck collars wore popular. Those were made of bright beads or jewels.The rich had jewelry from precious stones.The poor had jewels form colored pottery beads. They jewels because they believed they were attractive to god.
