Families and friends,

This week we demonstrate our liberties. Tuesday, November 8 is voting day and Friday, November 11 is Veterans' Day honoring those who have and are serving our country.

On Tuesday, we will have extra safety precautions in place as JSE is a voting site. Voters will be coming and leaving through the gym doors. Town citizens will not have access to our main entrance or to the building. We will also be holding all recesses on the back playground, or it will be indoors depending on weather. Please be mindful that our parking lot will be used for other traffic, so drive in carefully during drop off and dismissal.

Friday, we will be honoring our vets through a program in the gym. This will start at 9am and last until about 10am. Our PTO will be helping with light refreshments and a photo area for our honored guests and their JSE students.

A form was sent home last week asking for our students' Veterans they would like to honor during our slide show on Friday. This was due last Friday, but if you have not yet turned this in, please send in the information no later than Tuesday, November 8 to be included in the slideshow. If you still attend, we will be asking if anyone is here that wasn't mentioned and have them stand up.

The form includes: student name and teacher, Veteran's name / branch/ relationship/ and if they will be attending Friday.

Porter County Education Services (PCES) is holding a Town Hall Meeting at Valparaiso High School Cafeteria on November 15, 2022 at 6:00PM (enter through Door 1 or Door 25) so that the PCES Board may receive input and comments from the public, answer any questions at that time, and provide information to all stakeholders regarding the proposed restructuring plan of PCES.

Do you exhibit and support Teamwork, Responsibility, Academic Achievement, quality Character traits, Kindness, and work for Success? Our JSE team is looking for several positions and maybe you're ready to get on TRACK with us.

We are in search of:

- dishwasher from 10:45-1:45

- bus drivers 4 hours, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon

- substitutes for teachers, aides, and bus drivers

- lunch/recess aide from 10:45-1:45

- custodial and kitchen substitutes
