K-12 First Day of School - Thursday, August 25

We are getting ready for you! We all enjoy summer, especially in these beautiful mountains, but getting back together for school is something we are PROUD to do. The privilege and responsibility of working with students is not one we take lightly. Get ready for the best year yet!


This "Back to School" Guide will be posted on our website for reference. We hope this helps you find resources in one spot as your family prepares to return to school.


Preschool (Grove), your first day will be August 29th .


CCHS - look for information from your staff as you will have a "soft" opening with individual conferences and meetings while your new space gets finished up!


Avery Parsons, BVMS, BVHS - your 2022-23 school year will launch on Thursday, August 25th!


You can expect more information from your child's school in coming days.


This year, families can expect information from the District monthly instead of weekly.

Meet our New Leaders

BVHS Principal - Mrs. Liz Barnaby
Learn more about our new principal who loves her family, has 15 year in education in various schools and roles, including a principal license, enjoys running, camping.
Asst. Principal Avery Parsons - Mrs. Jessica Bright
Learn more about Mrs. Bright who is serving as Assistant Principal at our elementary and also growing and supporting our Work Based Learning Opportunities (Internships, Work Experience, Teacher Assistance) with Mr. Fuller.
The Grove Director - Ms. Dione Garritson
Learn more about Ms. Garritson who has a long career with BV Schools and is moving to lead the Grove Preschool.
CCHS Dean of Students - Ms. Kelly Chandler
Learn more about Kelly who will serve alongside Christine to lead students in the re-visioned CCHS.
BVHS/MS Activities Director - Mr. Adam Bright
Learn more about our Mr. Bright who is ready to bring excitement and character development as part of all our activities, will connect our community to our school activities, and will support BVHS with assistant principal duties as well.

Breakfast and Lunch

Federal funding that provided free meals to BV Schools students last year is no longer available during the 2022-23 school year. If you think your family qualifies for free or reduced meals, it is important to apply for assistance. Our certified Free and Reduced Specialist, Shelly Mueller can assist you if you have questions. She can be reached at shellym@bvschools.org. To apply for assistance, access the Free and Reduced Application here. Qualification for Free or Reduced meals also gives families reduction in other student course fees and extra curricular fees, like athletics. Reminder: meals are not universally free this year and only qualifying students through the application process will be eligible for free or reduced meals.

You can deposit money in your child's account via credit card through the Infinite Campus portal or by check/cash at your child's school.


School Menus are found on the website or Mobile app.

Annual Registration

It is important we have updated information for each student annually. Please be sure to complete the annual registration for each student ASAP and no later than the first day of school.

Transportation Registration

As a courtesy, BV Schools offers bus transportation for families who live in our bus boundaries. Please be sure to register for transportation annually.
