LSP Families,
Wow! We have had a GREAT first couple of weeks of school! All of our programs are now in the building and the LSP Staff could not be any happier. Students are loving the new additions to the playgrounds this year (toy excavators/diggers, rock/sand boxes, sensory tools, artificial turf, etc.). More new playground equipment and learning experiences will be coming throughout the year.
The LSP Staff is blown away by the number of families valuing early education for our youngest learners. Our Head Start and Developmental Preschools both have a short waitlist. We are still enrolling students and filling in students where we can. We do have a couple Title Preschool openings. Students must be four by August 1st to enroll in our Title Preschool program. Give us a call if you have any questions about enrolling!
Sick Student Procedures
Procedures for sick students can be found later in the newsletter. A rule of thumb to follow is 'students must be free of fever/diarrhea/vomiting for 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school.'
Bookmobile
This year we have partnered with the Fayette County Public Library. The bookmobile will be visiting LSP two times each month from 11:15a.m.-2:30p.m. Please feel to sign your family up for a library card and check out some books. We hope to have students choosing books from the Bookmobile soon!...September dates are 9/9 and 9/23.
