Dear GLOBE community,
Every five years, The GLOBE Academy develops a long-term strategic plan, which allows us to align on ambitious goals for our school and chart a plan to implement, measure, and communicate them.
As we design our strategic plan for 2024–29, we have been soliciting input from all current and former stakeholders, including parents, teachers, administrators, staff, students, and community members. We are grateful for the perspectives you have shared to date, and now it’s time for another survey — this one designed to help us refine the input you’ve provided since May.
The 216 responses to our first two surveys revealed nine areas for potential inclusion in our strategic plan.
Academics: Core instruction, language instruction, gifted program, early intervention, struggling students, classroom management
Communication: Between teachers and parents, between administration and teachers, between administration and parents, and across channels
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion: Closing academic gaps, diversification of school demographics (overall and within gifted program), equitable discipline procedures
Facilities: Desired improvements for Upper Campus, priorities for new K–5 school
Transportation: Buses to both campuses, shuttles between campuses
School operations: Safety procedures, enrollment, admissions, pick-up/drop-off, after-school programs, athletics
School management: Human resources, grievance policy, professional development, onboarding and training, staff recognition
Fundraising and development: GLOBE Trot, Annual Fund, future capital campaign
PTCC and volunteerism: International Fest, Field Day, annual auction, volunteer opportunities
