• Monday 9/11: PTO Meeting from 8:30 to 9:30 in the Staff Lounge
• Monday - Friday, 9/11 to 9/15 Spirit Week
• Wednesday, 9/13: Back to School Dance from 3:00 to 4:30.
• Friday 9/15: PICTURE DAY! During PE classes.

• Sullivan choir goes to the Padre game! Monday, September 18
• Sullivan Choir will sing at the Board Meeting on Wednesday, September 20.
• Parent Technology Night Tuesday, September 26 @ 5:30 pm in the MPR at Sullivan.

Mrs. Stacy Pecore was recognized and highlighted this past week in the Village News, celebrating education and music over the past 25 years!

"BONSALL – During the first all-district staff meeting of the 2023-24 term, Stacy Pecore was recognized for teaching music in the Bonsall Unified School District for 25 years. Her Show Choir and Guitar classes are legendary with her students and their families." Village News.

Congratulations to Mrs. Pecore and all of our BUSD students who are and have been a part of the BUSD music program!

We are excited to announce our first school day this Wednesday, right after school until 4:30. If you bought the ASB bundle, this dance is included. Your student may also purchase a ticket. We will sell snacks during the dance as our Wildcats enjoy time with friends!

If you want to donate items or help with the dance, don't hesitate to call for more information or drop off items in the office.

Wildcats, don't forget to dress up this week to earn your advisory class points!

Join us Monday morning 9/11 from 8:30 to 9:30 for our first PTO meeting of the 23-24 school year! We will have refreshments and fun planning events for our Wildcats and staff! If you are not able to join us, you may donate and or volunteer at any of our other events I have linked here:

Your student should have received the Wildcat Planner with the student handbook in the front. Please help your student by checking for homework and classwork completed every day. This is what Sullivan is using to help our Wildcats stay organized and another way for teachers and school to communicate with our families.

The Schedule for next week is as follows (Wednesday is the school dance so there will be no practices):
Varsity Volleyball Practice: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4:30
JV Volleyball Practice: Tuesday until 4:15 and Friday until 2:30pm
Varsity and JV Flag Football: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 4:30
Cross Country: Please Contact Coach Pipe if you don't know the schedule!

Update for ALL Fall Sports: In order for your student to play in the games, they MUST be cleared on the Home Campus Website by September 14th. You will need to upload a copy of a sports physical and verification of medical insurance.

Transportation will NOT be provided by the school. Please know that you may transport your own student to a sporting event from school, however, unless you are cleared by the district to be a volunteer and driver you will not be permitted to drive any other students besides your own. This includes students who have you listed on their emergency contact list. There are specific guidelines that be followed when it comes to after-school activities/sports off campus.

Please help BUSD and support our Athletics and Agriculture programs by participating in the BASKETS AND BUCKETS TOURNAMENT!

We will tee off on Saturday, September 30 at 8:30 am at the Golf Club of California in Fallbrook. The tournament is BEST BALL, so dust off your clubs and join us! It is sure to be an amazing event!

The California Department of Education passed legislation this past July that all school districts must remind parents and legal guardians of all students in the Bonsall Unified School District of their responsibilities for keeping firearms out of the hands of children as required by California law. Please take a moment to review the memo below.

School starts every day at 8:00 am and can be dropped off as early as 7:30 am. Please make sure to drop your student off in the lower parking lot because the upper parking lot will be closed to allow our students to walk across the walkway safely.

Your student will receive his/ her class schedule on the first day of school. All of the 6th grade and half of the 7th grade will have first lunch and follow Bell Schedule A.

All of 8th grade and half of 7th grade will have second lunch and follow Bell Schedule B.

ATTENTION PARENTS!

We are excited to announce that we extended our safety and security for all staff and students by installing a fence around the front of our school! Visitors will be required to bring ID and check in at the Welcome Booth before anyone is permitted on campus.

Only emergency vehicles, buses, those with handicap placards, and those with other special placards have access to the upper lot, emergency lane closest to the front of our schools. You will need to show your placard to Campus Security.

This decision to enforce our existing parking lot plan aligns with the recommendations of our community safety partners and will increase our ability to maintain a safe and secure site:

• When dropping students off, please use the lower levels of the parking lot.
• When visiting either the middle or the high school office, please park in the lower levels, bring your ID to the Welcome booth, and check in with the appropriate staff.
