Note from Admin Team
Greetings Wildcats,
It was another great week at Trailridge. We had a lot of things to celebrate. We had multiple students receive positive office referrals (see below) this week. Also, as you can see below, we had multiple teachers nominated for the Kansas Teacher of the Year Award. Mrs. Heather Mayfield will represent Trailridge this year. We are also very grateful for our PTA who spent time this Friday with a treat cart that they took around to staff members. We were very appreciative!
I also have the information for our PTA Traversing the Trail fundraiser listed below. Please continue to encourage your student to participate. We are hoping to #Level Up at surpass our $10,000 goal!
As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Matt, Cara and Ericka

Traversing the Trail PTA Fundraiser
This week we kicked off our PTA fundraiser (Traversing the Trail) with our students. This is our main fundraiser for the year we are hopeful to #LevelUp and raise at least $10,000! Today your student was given an envelope and flyer with our fundraiser information on it. Please ask your student to see them.
Our fundraiser is not the traditional fundraiser in that it does not require selling items. On October 6th we will have our Traversing the Trail event outside on our back fields during the school day. Traversing the Trail is a mapped-out path that will include music, inflatables, games, activities, frozen treats, and more. Our students are encouraged to gain sponsorships of support of their participation in Traversing the Trail. Students will also have the ability to win prizes and student experiences. You can find more information in this presentation.
We need your support. Please encourage your student to raise sponsorships from trusted individuals. We discouraged students going door to door. Donations can come via cash, check (payable to Trailridge PTA) or online (trailridgepta.org). All of the money raised will go back to our students. We will use this money for the purchase of a mascot costume, celebration days, student activities, field trips, end of the year celebrations, and more. Our fundraiser turn in week will be October 2nd through October 6th.
We have additional information regarding the fundraiser and how to volunteer for the Traversing the Trail event located on our PTA website (www.trailridgepta.org). Thank you for your support and let's work together to reach that $10,000 goal!

Wildcat Hour Lessons
As we shared in previous newsletters, we use our wildcat hour time to help teach students some of these skills. This week we focused on emotion management as well as helping students identify at least one adult in the building they trust. Below are the two lessons that we used.
