Happy Holidays!
AFC Jr/Sr High School
Dear AFC Families,
All of us here at AFC wish you and your family a wonderful winter break that is full of rest, fun, and relaxation. Although we are still having to deal with circumstances that are not ideal, we feel lucky to be able to learn in person and to interact with our students every day. We will see you in 2022; let's hope there's some good news in store for us all!
Happy Holidays,
Kim Torman
Congratulations to our December Students of the Month!
Please see below for what teachers had to say about our winners:
7th Grade: Ashley Lewis
- Ashley is a wonderful addition to our seventh grade class! She joined us at the beginning of the year and assimilated quickly. She is friendly to everyone and always willing to lend a helping hand. In class, Ashley is a diligent worker and puts forth her best effort even if it takes her a little longer to complete something.
8th Grade: Dominic Mullins
- Dominic offers a different perspective when participating in class discussions. He excels in interpreting literature and written expression. Recently, he was asked to read the part for Ebenezer Scrooge in The Christmas Carol. He did an excellent job of portraying this character. Dominic has grown in so many areas since coming to junior high. Congratulations Dominic!
9th Grade: Rik Boege
- Rik is one of the most respectful students at AFC. He is extremely kind to his fellow classmates as well as extremely helpful to his teachers. Rik always does his best on assignments and has really been excelling academically as of late. He has a lot of personality and helps to put a smile on everyone's face each and every day.
10th Grade: Taylor Jahn
- Taylor Jahn shows great leadership as a sophomore both inside and outside of the classroom. She has taken on a lot of duties in student council and is a fantastic helper to her classmates. Taylor brings her best to class everyday and is involved in as many school activities as she has available.
11th Grade: Jordan Harris
- The December student of the month, Jordan Harris, demonstrates quiet leadership both athletically and in the classroom. As a student, Jordan takes an active role in his education and is always striving to put out his best work. When working with other students, he holds them to his standards and elevates their work as well. Congratulations, Jordan!
12th Grade: James Holden
- I have thoroughly enjoyed having James in my class this year. He is a quiet but strong leader with many gifted educational talents. James has all of his assignments completed and done on time. While James is a quiet leader he is not afraid to speak up and lead the class when needed. I admire his level of critical thinking on assignments and the questions that he presents in class. I have no doubt that James will be successful in any career field that he chooses.
