Mrs. Smith’s Snapchat…
Hello Lakeside Families,
I'm excited to say that on Wednesday we were able to distribute over 400 student devices. If you missed Wednesday's opportunity there will be one last opportunity next Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm at Lakeside.
Just a reminder that our Learn at Home Lessons and choice boards will be available for students at 8 am on Monday morning at bit.ly/msdwarrenlearnathome. I know that teachers have been reaching out this week and are very excited to begin working with our students next week.
I also want to remind you about our updated food outreach plan. Continuing next week, we will be distributing 6 meals on Tuesdays and 8 meals on Fridays at now 11 locations throughout the township from 11:00 -1:00. Wednesday evening outreach sites are Post Road Church and our very own Lakeside Elementary from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.
Finally, I want to provide two contact numbers you can reach out to for assistance. If you have questions about Learn at Home, device distribution, or technology, please contact our eLearning/Learn at Home hotline at (317-608-0545) or email MSDWarrenELEARNING@warren.k12.in.us.
If you find yourself in need beyond what is being offered, please call our District Community Outreach hotline at 317-869-4308 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us and someone will get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
I hope that you and your family have a great weekend and as always, I thank you for your continued support of Lakeside Elementary!

2nd & Final District Wide Device Distribution
In order to facilitate high quality Learn at Home activities, we will provide a school-issued device for any student who needs one during this time. Devices will enhance the learning process and provide opportunities for students to interact with their teachers and classmates virtually. Interested families should complete a Device Request Form located on our school website as well as social media pages. In order to facilitate a safe and efficient process, our school has been assigned a date and time for devices to be picked up. The 2nd and Final Warren Township wide device pick-up for Lakeside will be tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15, 2020, from 5-7.
If you arrive without completing the form, you will be asked to complete the form before a device will be issued.
In the interest of health, safety, and security for all, Lakeside Elementary will be
utilizing the following procedures for tomorrow’s device deployment. Governor Holcomb has called all of us to practice appropriate social distancing including limiting the number of people gathering in one place. For the protection of all families and school staff, please remain in your vehicle at all times. A school staff member will meet you at your car to check-in and will deliver you your child’s school-assigned device through your car window.
We are anticipating many people showing up and to best serve you, enter our campus off 21st street. Please enter the West entrance to our campus and follow the arrows along
the west side of the building and if necessary complete the loop in the back of the
building and along the curb toward door 1 (main entrance). Following the outlined procedures will expedite the process for everyone.

We have added a Wednesday evening food outreach site at Post Road Christian Church and now Lakeside Elementary from 5:30 - 7:00. Wednesday locations will distribute a total of 8 meals. Starting next week, we will be distributing 6 meals on Tuesdays and 8 meals on Fridays at now 11 locations from 11:00 -1:00. Eastridge and Hawthorne will be added as Tuesday / Friday locations.

Live Virtual Recess: A Playworks Coach leading a morning warm-up, a midday game, and an afternoon cooldown each day. Anyone can tune into Facebook Live Monday- Friday at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm EST and play along.
