Dear Yowell Families,

This week is a shortened week (No School - Wednesday-Friday) for our students and staff. We hope this small break gives you a little extra time to spend time together and focus on what matters most.

This week we will be conducting one for our state-mandated safety drills. Teachers will be going over practices and procedures for this type of drill, as well as behavior expectations, with all of their students. During the drill, our building, including the main office, will be closed and locked.

Lastly, thank you to each family that filled out our gratitude form this month. Your kind words about the staff at Yowell are truly appreciated.

November 28 - December 12, Yowell students are invited to participate in a donation drive to support the Culpeper Community Christmas Basket Program!

Our very own exceptional education students are working on their social and life skills. To do so, they have come up with a business plan called Specially Brewed. Specially Brewed is a mobile coffee cart that will go around to staff members, take coffee orders, and make and deliver coffee orders. Mrs. Silver's students will work on following directions, oral communication and listening skills. We would LOVE your help to get Specially Brewed off the ground, you can find their Amazon wish list here. You can also send donations into the school as well. Thank you in advance.

This week's lost and found! Please encourage your child to go to the space across from the cafeteria to claim their lost items!

In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.

We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
