- There is a marked (see signs) handicapped spot in the front of the building. There have been many instances lately of people using that spot to drop off their students in the morning. We have families who need that spot for their wheelchair bound students. Please do not park or pull into that spot, even momentarily, unless you need accessible parking.

- Students should always be exiting a car that is parked and close to the curb.

- Also please do not park between the loading signs; we have buses in the morning and afternoon for kids who attend community programs.

Winter started early :( We use weather.com to monitor the temperatures. Our policy is we go outside if both the temperature and windchill are double digits. If it is slightly below, classes may go out for recess sometimes because the outdoor time is shorter compared to the lunch recess period.

• All the parents who came into the classrooms to help the students with the Mannapalooza pieces! They are gorgeous. Don't forget to bid.

Diversity Council is partnering with Student Council to highlight the rich culture and traditions of our Mann students. We’d love to fill the lobby with images and stories of our students coming together with their families and community. You probably have an image in your phone right now of your family carving pumpkins, lighting a candle on the kinara, celebrating Diwali, or volunteering at one of the many organizations in our village. Whatever special time you share with your family, we want to know about it. Please send in a small picture of your family participating in a cultural event. We appreciate you taking the time to make this a meaningful collaboration. All pictures should be submitted by November 19th.

The First Grade classes at Mann School, along with Scholastic Books are having a Pajama Drive! Each pair of pajamas will be matched with a book from Scholastic Books and donated to a child or adult in need.

Please bring in any size (baby, children or adults), brand-new pajama sets or nightgowns to the boxes
in the school lobby between
Wednesday, November 13 and Tuesday, November 26th.

We are administering the Illinois 5Essentials Survey again this year to certified staff and parents/guardians from all 10 of our schools, as well as students in grades four through eight.
