Chromebooks
Please make sure students are bringing Chromebooks to school (charged) each day. Teachers have the students use the Chromebooks daily, so it is an important instructional tool for them to have.

NCJH FUNDRAISER
NCJH Fundraiser
The North Central Junior High staff requests your help!!!
Some schools sell magazines or food to support their
school. We are not asking you to do that. Instead, we ask you to consider a donation. With this Donation, almost 100% of your money goes straight to North Central Junior High (with a typical fund raiser, the amount would be 30-40%).
Your donations support the following programs & events at North Central!
All field trip expenses, Athletics, Fine Arts, 8th Grade Dances, Family Fun Night, Student Council, School Teachers Supplies, Technology, Funds for the Media Center, Music, PE, Art, Industrial Tech, Family Consumer Science and much more.
The goal for this Fund Drive is $20,000. So far this year we have raised $4,000 and we are so thankful for all the contributions and support. It will help North Central out in many different areas including: classroom supplies, sports/athletic uniforms and equipment, fine arts equipment and field trips to name just a few. Below the letter lists the times you can donate throughout the year. We are asking each family to donate only once; however, those choosing to donate more than once we would certainly not turn you away. We hope the success of this fund raiser will help us continue to be able to fund and maintain all the programs we do now. (and possibly a few extra items as well)
No Contribution is too small or too Large!!!!

Community Thanksgiving Dinner (November 22nd)
Mrs. Meggitt's Global Studies Class
Students have worked very hard on the World Hunger Unit. A Heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to the parents and families that volunteered to drive students to the four farm field trips. And lots of gratitude for parent support from home with driving students to food banks, soup kitchens, farmers markets (brrrr!) and other programs and activities to support the Hunger Project. I'm looking forward to seeing the hard work culminated in final projects this week!
Our next unit is Political Power. It's a short, but very important unit. Please engage with your child at home about the midterm elections, political parties, voting, local issues, civic responsibilities, elected officials, function of government, etc.

PowerSchool
Powerschool: PowerSchool (PS) is a great source of information for you and your student. By logging in to PS with your PARENT account, you will be able to quickly check grades, assignments, attendance, teacher comments and school bulletin. You can independently update contact information at any point during the school year through e-registration. Daily announcements are entered in the bulletin section for you and your student to stay up to date on important information and happenings at North Central. (Please note that obtaining important dates/happenings at North Central is the responsibility of student and parent. All information can be found on the website calendar and in bulletin section of PowerSchool. Occasionally you will receive Blackboard Connect calls to keep you up to date, but you should always take a proactive approach on staying up to date with school happenings.)
