Picture Day - Friday 11/19

Inter-State will be on our campus to take pictures of any students who may have missed the original picture day or for those students who want to retake their picture.

If you child is having a retake please send the picture packet with them to school on Friday.

Thanksgiving BreaK

School will be closed on Wednesday 11/24 thru Sunday 11/28 for the Thanksgiving Break.

Kindness Matters - Thanks for Giving

With donations from our Kindness Matters fund, the FFO was able to purchase grocery gift cards for a couple of Ventana Vista families to help with their Thanksgiving holiday. We are grateful to those who have supported this fund!

December Holiday Donation Drive!

This year we are excited to partner with More Than a Bed for our holiday donation drive! More Than a Bed is a local nonprofit organization that provides essential items to foster and adoptive families at no charge. Be on the lookout for more details to come, but some items they have specifically requested are: diapers, wipes, formula, gently used or new clothes (especially 12 yrs and 24 mos), girls toddler and youth socks, gently used or new shoes (especially 6-8 yr) and toys for babies or 10 yrs +. Donations will be collected at drop off or in the office starting the week after Thanksgiving break Nov 29-Dec 3.

December Dine Out at Sauce - two locations!

On Tuesday, Dec. 7th, from 4-9pm, Sauce on north Oracle and on east Grant will be donating 15% of VV sales to our school. See the attached flyer for details!

Mileage Club Update

Ventana Vista Mileage Club runners have accumulated 578 miles so far this year. Way to go bobcats!

To celebrate Thanksgiving, Mileage Club will be a turkey trot tomorrow and runners will earn a special wacky turkey charm. While we were unable to find actual turkeys, rumor has it there will be some wacky turkeys running the field. Students should bring their necklace to school tomorrow if they have one. Thank you to the Mileage Club volunteers!

Join our Site Council

Every year a group of parents, faculty, staff and community members gather to provide input on school improvement topics. This year the Site Council will focus on Family Engagement. If you have ideas/opinions about family engagement strategies and/or your experiences with engagement in our school community at Ventana Vista that you would like to share to help us to improve, please apply to join our site council today! The meeting dates are on Thursdays after school: December 9th, January 13th, February 10th, March 10th The application is attached below and can be turned in to the front office or emailed to abuick@cfsd16.org.
