ORES Newsletter
This week, we are highlighting some of the art our students have been working on. Mrs. Zimmerman, our new art teacher, will begin utilizing Artsonia to display student art work online and provide an opportunity for families to purchase cups, shirts, and other memorabilia with student art. These will make great mementos as well as provide a fundraising opportunity for the art department. Click on the Artsonia video link below to watch a two minute video about Artsonia. There is also a link to access student art work and begin making purchases. Mrs. Zimmerman will load student art work throughout the school year.
Oak Ridge R6 now has a school app. Scan the QR code below to download the app. This is another way parents can stay informed about what is happening at school.
The elementary will host a Title I parent night on October 6th @ 6:00PM. We will help parents sign up for Remind and learn to navigate the new website as well as download the new school app. We will give an over view of the district's Title I program for the 22-23 school year. Please join us if you are available.
Students wishing to ride bikes to school and park bikes on campus during the day need to have parents complete the procedural form below.
The district will be conducting the following first semester safety drills over the next few weeks:
October 4th: Fire Drill
October 20th: Earthquake Drill
Reminders:
Meals are not free for everyone this year. Remember to check meal balances through the parent portal and keep them current. If you need a free/reduced meal form throughout the year, contact the office. Early childhood meals are already included with their daily tuition fee.
Before and After School Care fees and Early Childhood (preschool) fees can be paid at the elementary office or online through the school website under Menu, Community & Alumni, School store. The early childhood entrance also has a lock box if you want to leave payments in the lock box.
Please feel free to reach out if you have questions, need help with school supplies, or need resources to help students be successful at school.
Enjoy the weekend with your family!
Sincerely,
Sonia Wood
