MST Weekly Update
June 9, 2023

Good afternoon to all of our MST family members.
The Final Friday! As hard as it is to believe, today is the final Friday of the 2022-23 school year. For me, it has flown by. It seems like yesterday that our 9th graders were entering high school for the first time and that the seniors were starting their final year at MST.
Today is the last day of classes with our seniors. They are a great group of students who I am sure will do great things with their lives. As a final gift for me to remember them, they graciously redecorated my office while I was on lunch duty. Nicely done seniors, nicely done!!

CTE News
In the past week, our CTE programs had a visit from Santa, a trip to downtown businesses and a visit to a manufacturing plant.
Recently, the MST Business Principles program hosted a visit from SANTA (Dan Greenleaf). After learning HBO max's award winning documentary, "Santa Camp," featured a local entertainer, he and his wife, Mrs. Claus (Diana Greenleaf) were invited to discuss the business side of being Santa, and the holiday entertainment industry. The cheerful duo covered everything from marketing strategies to diversifying revenue streams throughout the year. Following the presentation, both students and staff alike couldn't resist a photo op with Mother and Father Christmas.
On Friday June 2nd, Business & Marketing students had the pleasure of participating in a behind the scenes tour of the SNHU Arena. Following the tour, they took time to visit with downtown business owners, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local favorite. The outing concluded with a visit to the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to discuss branding and economic development.
On Monday June 5th, students in the manufacturing program visited Graphicast in Jaffrey NH. Students were able to learn how metal parts are made using graphite molds and molten metal. On the way home, they were able to stop at Kimball Farms for some lunch and ice cream.
