5th Grade Science with Mr. McIntosh
Looking Back -
Due to Thursday’s canceled classes, we only covered the content from Lesson 3 on potential and kinetic energy. This was an important foundation for our understanding of physics of energy and motion. We will do our best to wrap up this unit as we head toward spring break. What great work this spring!
Looking Ahead –
We end this unit with a look at simple machines and how we put those ideas to work. From the earliest projects like the pyramids in Egypt to modern skyscrapers that we see in our cities today, we have used these ideas to help take our ideas from imagination to created reality.
Don’t forget the opportunities for extra credit in USA Test Prep
There is an extra credit assignment available in USA Test Prep – 5th Extra Credit #2. Read the article (paste the address in your browser) and answer some questions using your own ideas about the topic.
Continue to devote one hour (or two 30 minute sessions) to Stride Science lessons each week.
