Kindergarten students had 2s hidden in their individual classrooms, and at KC Ling we had them hidden throughout the school. Students were awarded 2 themed prizes.

Hemlock, MI – Hemlock Public School District has partnered with Saginaw Spirit the past several years to help support positive behavior incentives.

Each month, teachers choose one student from their classrooms to be recognized by the school. These students are selected routinely exhibiting the pillars of our PAWS Program: Practicing safety, Acting responsibly, Working together, and Showing respect. They handed out special t-shirts to the students that were nominated and even took part in a short photoshoot with all of the winners.

As part of the Adopt-A-School Program, Lockwood Construction, LLC., and Beagle Construction have donated tickets the past few months to our Spirit Ticket Winners.

Principal Lori Gensch shared, “Having these types of incentives for our students to look forward to helps to reiterate positive behavior. We are thankful for our partnership with the Saginaw Spirit and our Adopt-A-School sponsors.”

Hemlock, MI – Hemlock Public School District hosted its 4th-grade Christmas Program thanks to donations from parents and family members to purchase music recorders.

Music Director Quin Cramer shared, “Our 4th-grade Christmas concert was perfect! I could not be happier with both the turnout and student performance. A huge part of our success was due to parent support. Whether it was encouraging a student to practice, or donating some extra money to help the music program grow. I'm incredibly thankful to be part of such a supportive community.”

Principal Gensch stated, “It was such a joy to kick off the holiday season with our Christmas Programs this year and be able to share with families and loved ones.”

On May 16th @ 6:00 pm, You are invited to attend the Hemlock & K.C. Ling Spring Celebration. We will be showcasing the musical abilities of our students using Instruments and our voices! This concert will be taking place at the Hemlock High School Gymnasium, music will start at 6:00 and doors will open at 5:30. Student drop-off and pick-up information will be sent out shortly!

Hemlock, MI - Hemlock Public School District has opened registration for Young Fives and Kindergarten students for the 2022-23 school year. Parents may pre-register students online Here! (Current Young 5 enrolled students DO NOT need to register.)

We will be hosting Kindergarten/Y5 Round-Up on March 3rd, at 6:00 pm at Hemlock Elementary. We are encouraging online enrollment by going to https://www.hemlockps.com/page/enroll-now. Children that are 5 years old by December 1, 2022, will be eligible to register for Young Fives or Kindergarten.

The following documents are required for enrollment and can be submitted to the Hemlock Elementary at 200 Wilson St. or emailed to Jill Crofoot at crofoot.jill@hemlockps.com

· Proof of Residency: Current utility bill, lease, mortgage, w/correct name and address (No driver’s license or voter registration, credit card statements, subscriptions, etc.)

· School of Choice paperwork (if applicable)
