Congratulations to the Mustang Marching Band for winning the Alan Irvine Spirit of Sportsmanship Award! This Award is presented to the band at Huron Valley Invitational that strives to represent the spirit of teamwork, professionalism, and cooperation that defines what a positive and rewarding activity competitive marching band is all about!
Shout out to our Custodial & Maintenance Staff
Thank you to our CAS Custodial and Maintenance staff for your leadership in the progress of the ongoing construction to complete our bond work district-wide. Your support of our teachers and students is amazing and we couldn't do it without you!
Clio High School Family Survey
Clio Area Schools has been participating in Michigan’s Promoting Positive School Climate (PPSC) project to enhance positive behavior supports in our school. Your input is important to us!
The data collected from the survey will be used to identify perceptions of school climate issues
within our school. Responses are housed securely and in an anonymous format with the
University of Oregon Technical Assistance Center projects for evaluation research purposes. All
evaluation research projects are in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act,
(343 CFR 99.31 (6)) and human subjects regulations (Protection of Human Subjects 45 CFR 46).
Clio Community Education
Clio Community Education is offering exciting classes to the community, which offer a wonderful blend of physical activity and creative expression! Please consider joining our classes by registering here.
Please complete the Spring Community Education Interest Survey, linked here, to express your interest for programs that could be offered moving forward.
Counseling Corner
Student Groups
The counseling department runs a couple different student groups. Students are asked if they would like to join the groups based upon their survey responses or parent requests. At this time we are offering a grief group, anxiety coping skills group, and a time management skills group. If you think your student could benefit from one of these groups please contact our counseling secretary, Mrs. Collar at (810) 591-1367 to let her know or contact your student's counselor.
7th Hour Credit Recovery
For students who are behind in credits we also offer 7th hour classes to recover those classes. Students must be passing all 6 of their current classes in order to take a 7th hour class. There is open enrollment for 7th hour, meaning as soon as students are passing all of their classes, they can start 7th hour. There is no deadline to get started. Applications for 7th hour classes are still available in the counseling office.
Senior Meetings
The counselors have started meeting with seniors to talk to them about their post-graduation plans. Our goal is to make sure each student knows how to achieve those plans regardless of what they might be. If your student hasn't met with their counselor yet, have them reach out to create an appointment.
