Muskego Lakes Family Newsletter
June 9th, 2023
Dear Muskego Lakes Families,
As the school year comes to a close, we can't help but feel a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and immense pride. It has been a truly unforgettable journey, and we want to reflect on our middle school students' incredible accomplishments and growth. Thank you for being a vital part of this adventure!
Academically, our students have soared to new heights. They've confidently tackled complex math problems, dissected scientific mysteries like seasoned investigators, delved into the pages of literature, mastered new skills of playing instruments, singing, cooking, sewing, speaking a foreign language, etc. Their drive and work ethic daily has been inspiring.
But middle school is about much more than just academics. Our students have embarked on a quest of self-discovery, where they've explored their passions, honed their talents, and discovered new interests. From dazzling performances on stage to showcasing their artistic flair in vibrant masterpieces and trying out a new club or sport, they've embraced creativity in all its forms.
We've witnessed their growth as individuals, not just intellectually but also in their character and resilience. They've faced challenges head-on, learned from setbacks, and emerged stronger and more determined. They've become advocates for kindness, compassion, and inclusivity, creating a supportive and nurturing community where every student feels accepted and empowered.
None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support and partnership. Your encouragement, involvement, and open communication have played a crucial role in shaping the success of our students. Thank you for being there every step of the way, from the homework help sessions to cheering them on at sports events and school performances.
As we say goodbye to this school year, we encourage you to take some well-deserved time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with your middle schoolers. Embrace the summer spirit, whether embarking on exciting family adventures, enjoying lazy days at home, or simply sharing laughter around the dinner table. Cherish these moments together; they are the building blocks of lifelong connections.
We wish you a summer filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments. We can't wait to embark on another incredible journey with you and your children in the upcoming school year.
In partnership,
Rachel and Nancy

Chromebook Information for Grades 5-7
Students in grades 5 - 7 will be keeping their Chromebooks over the summer. During the school year, students have been supported through the work of our Library to repair and troubleshoot devices. We will continue to have support available at the Muskego High School on Wednesdays (during summer school and by appointment).

- Please see the attached flyer about location, availability, contact information, and FAQs.
- MNS Chromebook Troubleshooting Guide

If you elected to have your Chromebook covered through the district insurance program, we will be extending that coverage through August 31st to provide the same levels of service, at no additional cost to families.
While summer means time away from school, students will still be held to the same level of expectations for use and adherence to the student acceptable use policy, as they are during the school year.
