A Message From The Principal
Greetings!
The first day of school for all Renaissance Students will be this Thursday, August 6, 2020.
Students attending Renaissance will attend Mon-Fri. We will still maintain our half day schedule with students either attending in the AM from 8:55-11:55 or in the PM from 12:55-3:55.
Phone calls were made today to all students indicating whether they would be attending in the AM or PM this semester. Please note due to our need to social distance and keep students and staff safe we do not have a lot of flexibility to allow students to pick their time of day. Priority will be given to the seniors.
Staff will be reporting back to the building this Monday, August 3rd. If you have questions regarding your student's schedule, time of day they are attending, or any other concerns please give our front office a call at 317-532-2996.
Welcome Back!
Superintendent Message --Dr. Hanson
We are a little over 1 week away from our first day of 2020-2021 school year, which is Thursday, August 6th. Many of our school and district staff are in our buildings getting ready for students to return. Our teachers officially return on Monday, August 3rd.
As we continue to schedule for our IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL students , create bus routes for our IN-PERSON and our ALTERNATING Day students, and ensure our students, staff, and families have what they need to start the year safely, I want to provide some important updates.
ParentVue is our new Parent Portal for communicating information with our parents. ParentVue activation letters were mailed to families this week. For our families without an address on file, they will need to complete the Google Form located on the Parent Portal page under the Parents tab. Once activated, parents will be able to access bus information, teacher information, and other student information in their ParentVue account.
For those students who will be riding a bus to and from school, you can expect to receive a personal phone call from your child’s bus driver prior to the first day of school. Each driver will make two attempts in contacting their families. With the addition of our new ParentVue, we will no longer be mailing bus stop information. If you do not receive a call or have questions about transportation, please call 317-532-2820.
For families who are participating in the VIRTUAL only model, you can expect to receive additional information over the next few days. If you have specific questions about the VIRTUAL experience, you can either contact your child’s home school or you can contact our Office of Curriculum and Assessment / Student Programming at 317-869-4349.
As part of our strategic planning process last school year, one of the consistent themes we heard from our Warren families and employees was the need for improved communication. As part of our response, each month, the district will share electronic newsletters with timely information. The July newsletter is attached to this email and will be available in English and Spanish on our website under the Newsroom tab.
I believe feedback is a gift and helps us improve. As we continue to navigate through this uncharted territory, I welcome your feedback to help us make the Warren experience exceptional for our students, families, and staff.
Thank you for your continued support and investment in Warren students and schools.

Warren Township is accepting new registrations for the 20-21 school year. If you are new to Warren Township and want to register your student for the upcoming school year you may register in multiple ways:
- Online - Goto the district home page www.warren.k12.in.us and select the 20/21 Registration / Enrollment Link.
Our registration hotline (317-608-0545 or WarrenRegistration@warren.k12.in.us) is available to assist all new and returning families with all of their registration needs. Our school offices are scheduled to open on Monday, July 20th. If you have any registration needs before the 20th, please reach out to the hotline or attend one of our centralized registration events.
New Student Information System-- Synergy
Warren is excited to announce that we have upgraded to a new student information system called Synergy. This means that our old parent portal, Tyler, will be going away. Instead, the parent portal will be upgraded to Synergy’s ParentVUE. ParentVUE is an online tool to help you monitor your student’s education. It allows you to update contact information and provides you with access to the latest information about your child’s attendance and scheduling. Our middle and high school families can view class assignments, report card grades, and course history with ParentVUE.
Once ParentVUE is available, parents who have a previous Tyler account will receive an email with instructions about setting up your new username and password. If you do not have a Tyler SIS account, please complete a registration form located on our parent portal webpage and return it to your school to begin the process of activating your account.
ParentVUE is a great way to stay connected with your student's school and track their academic progress. It also helps us stay in contact with you!

Chromebooks! Please Bring Your Device Daily!

Chromebooks will not be available in classrooms. Students will need to bring their devices, charging chords, and cases everyday to school.
