🔵 Morning Drop Off: All car riders should enter the school by the front office, through the playground gate. Once inside the playground gate students have the opportunity to eat breakfast.

No students should be dropped off at the gate between the Elementary and Admin building and walk straight to the Cafeteria.

🔵 Our school day ends at 3:15. If you arrive earlier than 2:45, please leave one lane of our pick up/drop off area open. Families are having trouble picking up sick students or students with emergencies due to parking in both lanes of the pick up/drop off area.

🔵 Afterschool Tutoring begins this week. All students shall be picked up at 4:30 at the cafeteria. Please stay in your vehicles and we will bring your child to you. The pickup line is one-way and all vehicles will exit onto W. Park Street.

🔵 Per our handbook, student birthdays are celebrated one time each month during our "Monthly Birthday Celebration". It is at this time that students may bring store-bought treats to share with their classmates. Please do not drop off birthday treats on days that are not our "Monthly Birthday Celebration Day".

Grades Above 95%: 5th Grade

Each year student attendance is grouped into three categories by the state.

1 - Students who have missed less than 8.5 days of the school year. This is where we strive for our students to be.

2- Students who have missed between 9 and 16.5 days of the school year.

3- Chronically absent students fall into the last category, 10% or more. This is equivalent to missing 17 or more days of school this year.

We know that students who are chronically absent generally have a harder time making academic growth.

Thank you for your support to make good attendance a priority with your family.

Each month all students, K-5, will take a Reading and Math Istation screener. This online screener takes approx. 15-30 minutes for each subject. The results of the screener provide the teachers with both individual and class data that is used to make informed instructional decisions. Based off the student's first score, an individual goal will be created for him/her each month. Student growth is our goal!

Our students love reading! After a student reads a book, they have the opportunity to take an AR test to gauge their comprehension. We are working together as a school to track the number of pages we read. Our first schoolwide goal is to read 1 Million Words to earn a HAT DAY. While that seems like a lot, when we work together we will achieve it in no time.

We are so excited! Our students have started the first unit of our new Literacy Curriculum.

Be sure you are connected on Class Dojo. Not only will you be able to communicate with your child's teacher, but you will also be able to see how many Dojo points your child has earned. Each quarter we will have a Dojo Celebration. Students that have earned enough Dojo points for GREAT behavior will attend. Points start over each quarter.
