Ventana Vistas

Assist me in welcoming Mrs. Guido, our new PE teacher. She comes to us from Sunrise Drive Elementary School and prior to that taught in California. The students are learning about

movement and also they are beginning to play games.

Mr. Dean is new to Ventana Vista this year and he comes to us with many years of experience. He is excited to teach Spanish and Math to our 4th graders this year. He is partnering with Mrs. Martinez. He is grateful for the amazing 4th graders that he gets to work with. Students were learning new strategies in math.

4th grade Spanish teacher, has jumped right into the Ciencia (science) curriculum with her students. They are learning about energy and transference of energy. The students were doing a great job of using their Spanish language to explain this.

Senorita Gallego was working with her students on “How to Write a Story”. Specifically, she was teaching the students about revising their stories. The students were using the strategies of plan, sketch, write, and revise. Way to go students.

Mrs. Hummingbird, is new to Ventana Vista this year and is excited to be teaching 4th grade partnering with Senorita Prokop. During math class, she was working with her 4th grade math students to assist them in grasping the math concept.

Assist me in welcoming our newest counselor who is with us every Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday, Mrs. Dombrowski. Mrs. Harvey is with us full-time, and she is planning lessons with Mrs. Dombrowski. They will begin classroom lessons next week. They are typically in the classrooms on Wednesdays. They will also be offering a “Game club” to our Kindergarten and 1st grade students on Mondays beginning in September.
