Principal's Message
I saw in many of the teachers' newsletters and report cards that they recommended different ways for your child to practice their skills this summer. I highly encourage students to participate in the Oak Park Library Summer Reading Program. Reading throughout the summer will help students maintain and grow their reading abilities. I would also encourage you to find books at higher levels to read to them, as students' listening comprehension skills are generally higher. Practicing math facts is also important over the summer. Additionally, having your child practice with telling time and working with money can be great summer activities. Finally, having them write to relatives or friends, keep journals, or write stories is great writing practice.
I will be working throughout most of the summer so please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts. The first week of July I will be out of the office, as well as some days here and there, but again I will be here for most of the summer. This will be the last Bobcat Blog until August.

Hi, Everyone!
The Beye yearbook pages are complete! But the end of year is super hectic, so we've moved the yearbook order deadline to next Friday, June 16! Yearbooks come with two custom pages that you can make for (or with) your child, documenting all of the fun and excitement they had this year-- you need to make those by June 16 too. The yearbooks themselves will be printed in the summer.
To order, go to: www.treering.com/validate
William Beye's passcode is 1015276181452624.
(If you miss the deadline, you can also order after the fact-- they just charge extra postage & handling for delivery.)
Happy end of the school year!
