Arrival/Dismissal in Spanish
Arrival
If you arrive after 8:10, you are REQUIRED to park your car and walk your child in. You will be let in to the front office and must sign your child in.
Please ensure your child is exiting the vehicle on the RIGHT side of the vehicle. The RIGHT lane is for drop off ONLY, the LEFT lane is for passing through ONLY. Students are not allowed to exit the vehicle in the left lane. Additionally, if you need to assist your child with getting out of the vehicle, please park your car in an unmarked parking space to assist your child. This is to ensure THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD.
Dismissal
If you need to pick your child up early, please do so by 3:00. No students will be released after 3:00 and before dismissal begins at 3:30. This causes difficulties for the office staff and classroom teachers.
Car Riders: Car Tags are REQUIRED for dismissal for CAR RIDERS. If you do not have a car tag, you will be asked to park and enter the office to show proof of authorized pick up. If you lose a tag, or need any additional for other family members, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher.
Walkers: Parents must wait on the sidewalk for their child to come out. No one will be allowed on the porch or main sidewalk at dismissal time. Your child should not be standing and waiting for you. Any remaining students on the sidewalk at 3:35 will be brought back inside and you will have to come inside to check them out. If you park across the street, your child MUST walk to the crosswalk at the corner of Pleasant Valley and Mars to safely cross. Do not motion your child to walk across the street!
Daycare and bus students have designated spaces inside the building that our staff will monitor and ensure they get on the bus/van safely.
Any changes to how your child may get home REQUIRES a written note either on Dojo or paper to your child's teacher. If you have a last minute change, please call the front office.
Late pickup is not acceptable. We understand there are emergency situations that may arise. Please contact the office as soon as you know you will be late. The expectation is that all students are gone by 3:50. If you are consistently late to pick your child up, a formal meeting will be scheduled with the Assistant Principal and/or Principal to determine another solution for pick up arrangements.
