SCIENCE RESEARCH THANK YOU!!
A sincere THANK YOU to the anonymous donors who’ve contributed to the MHS science research program by purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist! Two items were purchases but no names were attached to the gifts. Our Bulldog research team would like to know who you are so we may formally thank you. Please email Mr. Stauffer at stauffer.greg@brevardschools.org
We are still looking for Solar Energy, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and LabView programmer mentors. If you would like to help our students out by giving some guidance in these subject areas please contact Mr. Stauffer.
The Science Research Team here at MHS still has more items on our Amazon Wishlist. If you wish to help out by purchasing some of our needed items please go to https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1LY8YIOLJ8886/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_1?_encoding=UTF8&type=wishlist
Thank you once again for the community support!
Student Incentive Program
One of the things we have planned this year to help promote a positive school culture is to establish a recognition system for our students. This will give teachers and staff the ability to acknowledge students who demonstrate attitudes and behaviors that reflect our school mission, which is to inspire students to strive for excellence in academics and responsible citizenry.
You can help us by making donations that we can use as incentives. We are going to provide Melbourne High items, such as t-shirts and sling bags, but the addition of other items would help us create a well-rounded selection for our students.
Examples of possible donations
· Gift cards for area restaurants
· Movie tickets
· Gas cards
Donations can be dropped off in the main office. Please label the items: Attention – Mrs. Kilmer
If you have any questions, please contact me at: kilmer.cindy@brevardschools.org
Thank you in advance for any donations you are able to provide!
Free and Reduced Lunch Information
Families can also set up an online lunch account through the district system. Go to www.mypaymentsplus.com to create your account and add money for your student to use in our cafeteria. If you already have an account you do not need to create another one for this year.
Covid-19 Information
UPDATED QUARANTINE INFORMATION
Health and Safety
Stay home if you are sick: We ask our families to keep children home if they exhibit any Covid-19 symptoms for the safety of our students and staff. It is the most important thing you can do to help us mitigate the spread of Covid-19 on our campus.
What do I do if someone in my home contracts the Covid-19 virus? Please call the principal at 321-952-5880 x24503 if your student, or someone living in your home, contracts the Covid-19 virus. If you are going to quarantine your student, we will help you determine the correct dates for quarantine.
Clinic Policy: During the pandemic, any student sent home from our school clinic with Covid-19 related symptoms must quarantine for 10 calendar days unless (1) the student receives a negative Covid-19 test and brings the printed result to the school nurse or, (2) the student's family physician diagnoses the student's condition as something other than Covid-19 and writes a note allowing the student to return to school.
