We have a SUPER weekend upon us! We have the Super Bowl of Holy Cross fundraisers, Celebration, and the actual Super Bowl for our very own Kansas City Chiefs! We are looking forward to honoring our Beacon of Light Award Recipients: Pat Sheldon, Dan Carney and Jerry Viviano. These three faith-filled, dedicated volunteers have helped our school and community flourish over the years. We are blessed to have this opportunity to celebrate them. A HUGE thank you to everyone that has dedicated so much of their time to make this night a success. We are grateful to those who generously donated their time and efforts to support our school on this special evening.
Please do not forget to sign up for conferences if your teacher requested a conference or if you would like to check in to see how your child(ren) are performing in school. Our new assessment Fastbridge is a great screener for us to help individualize instruction to support the success of our students. Additionally, all our standardizes tests are valuable resources for us to guide how our academic programming is reaching the needs for our student populations. We need your support at home enforcing the value and importance of standardized assessments. If you have any questions regarding your child(ren)'s assessment scores, Mrs. Kerth and Mrs. Parker, will be happy to answer any questions in the Coach's Corner during conferences.
After our big night at Celebration, most of us will be preparing for the BIG game on Sunday night. I know our household will be at the edge of our seats anticipating a WIN for the Kansas City Chiefs. Some fans might be rooting for the day off on Wednesday to attend the parade and others might be cheering for an extra day off on Wednesday extending the break from five to six days for students! Either way, if the Chiefs win on Sunday, February 12, there will not be school on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. GOOOOO CHIEFS!
