Happy Friday Buffalos,

We are excited to feature our 1st and 2nd graders this coming week for a music concert. They have been working so hard and will travel to SHHS for a dress rehearsal on Tuesday morning. A few other things happening at Berryton:

• State Assessments for Grades 3-6- State Assessments will begin at Berryton this coming week. These assessments give us important information on our students and help us evaluate our curriculum and programming. Getting a good night of sleep and eating a healthy breakfast are ways that families can support students in doing their best on state assessments.

• Considerations for the 23-24 Academic Year- Spring Semester is consumed with hours of looking at student data and creating class lists for the upcoming year. Since our classroom teachers are experts on their students, they team with Mrs. Hurla and I in this process. If you have information regarding your child's needs please complete the Classroom Considerations forms below so that we can best support your student.

• Students Not Returning in 23-24- If your family is relocating and will not return next year please email Ms. Tanya directly at howbertt@usd450.net.

• Camp Invention is Back- Camp Invention will be at BES June 12-16. Click on the video above to learn more about the program or click on the button below to sign up your child.

• Track- Do you have a 5th or 6th grader interested in track? Check out information below for our last round of Intramurals.

• School Supplies for Next Year- Looking to save time and order school supplies for your child next year? Click the links below for more details. We are accepting online orders only.

• Covid Tests- We have received lot of Covid tests that families are welcome to have for no charge. Families are welcome to stop in the office during school hours if interested.

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
