The A-G Student of the Week is Alana Barnett,
nominated by Mrs. Cummins and Mrs. Baker.
Alana is an excellent example of a student who shows the caring trait. She works hard in class to do her absolute best, but is also the first person to make sure other classmates are not struggling both academically and emotionally. She advocates for other classmates when she feels they have been mistreated and will try her best to help them or get adult intervention to help if need be. She is a wonderful student that both Mrs. Cummins and Mrs. Baker enjoy teaching every day and she deserves to be Student of the Week for the great student she is! - Katie Cummins and Marisa Baker
The H-O Student of the Week is Grayson Krahn,
nominated by Mrs. LaCount.
Grayson is a top notch student. He comes in with a smile on his face and ready to learn. I appreciate how he greets me everyday with a, "Good afternoon, Mrs. LaCount." Grayson is very diligent in turning in all of his assignments and is prepared for class. - Alicia LaCount
The P-Z Student of the Week is Daniela Socorro Godoy,
nominated by Mrs. Smith.
Daniela continues to impress me with her commitment to growing and learning each day. I love her can-do attitude. She consistently shows respect for teachers and peers. Her presence in our class helps create a welcoming atmosphere, and her positive attitude is infectious. She is completely fantastic, even the notes she takes for our class in her comp book are cheerful! - Jalynn Smith

PBIS Donations
PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Here is a short video on how Classcraft works: https://youtu.be/M2uqd9ZOMaw. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
Parents if you are interested in donating to the PBIS school store the following list is a great start. We accept all donations both monetary and items.
We are excited to announce that H-E-B is a proud sponsor of the PBIS Store at Leaman.
If your company would like to sponsor the store, please contact Mr. Kracker, Mr. Gilmore or Ms. Session for more information.
