Campus-Wide Focus
As we created this past year with the "Teamming Up for Success!" theme, this year we will fill our halls, common areas, and as many classrooms and special spaces as possible with images that align with the following concepts:
- Building/Building Blocks
- Construction/Constructing
- Tools for Success/Toolboxes/Tooklits
- Foundational Skills for Literacy, Numeracy, Science, and the Arts especially)
- Making Things/Maker Spaces
- Tinkering/Molding/Composing
- Creating
- Hard Work/Carrying the Load
- Strong Foundations
- Teambuilding/Teamwork/Collaborative Crew
- Inspection/Measurement (Assessment/Rubrics, Grades, Benchmarks)
- Blue Prints (Lesson Plans)
- Zones (Peace Zones, Learning Zones, Work Zones,Play Zones, etc..

Themes are a great way to cultivate team unity, and help set the tone for our mission and vision each year around campus. It's such a cool feeling when a campus cultivates a certain look and feel and language around a particular theme, but I by no means expect each of you to have your entire classroom decked out in construction theme unless you want to, What I will ask is that your hallway bulletins and exterior door decor align with the theme throughout the year so it won't clash with the displays that the leadership team/office team will install and maintain this upcoming year. Inside your classroom will be totally up to you and your personal preference!
Each week, campus-wide, students will hear and learn a lot about different construction concepts, and most of our campus-wide rewards days, and family nights will center around our theme in creative ways as well.
Here's to a great year building something great together, IF and WHEN when we get to go back to our campus!
