Last week, you should have gotten an email asking you to complete the Annual Back-to-School Check-in process - or ABCs.

Please log-in to your Skyward Family Access account and take a few moments to complete this important process. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete the process for each child in your household and can be done on any mobile device or computer.

The ABC process must be completed for all students in the district - including both previously enrolled as well as newly registered students. If your student will be enrolled in Running Start, the process must be completed for them as well

If you have questions about the ABC process, please call 360-473-1076. You can also call your child's school next week (All school offices open on August 15 except Bremerton High School which opens August 10.).

As your child returns to school, it is important to make sure they are up to date on all their required vaccinations for the 2022-2023 school year. Students who do not meet the immunization requirements for school entry could be excluded from school, per Revised Code of Washington RCW 28A.210.120.

COVID vaccinations are recommended and encouraged but not required for students. Learn more about the COVID vaccine for children here.

According to the Washington Administrative Code WAC 246-105-030, any child attending school, preschool, or childcare in Washington State is required by law to be fully immunized against or have an exemption in place for the following diseases:

• Chickenpox (Varicella)

• Diphtheria

• Haemophilus influenzae type b disease (Hib)*

• Hepatitis B

• Measles (Rubeola)

• Mumps

• Pneumococcal disease*

• Polio (Poliomyelitis)

• German measles (Rubella)

• Tetanus

• Whooping cough (Pertussis)

*not required for children age 5 years and older

Join us on Wednesday, August 24 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m online or in-person for an update on the school and community multi-use sports complex at Mountain View Middle School. This complex is being funded by the replacement capital projects levy that was approved by voters in February 2022.

The meeting will be held in the Commons at Mountain View Middle School, and will be broadcast on Zoom (link forthcoming). We invite you to join us to learn how the design is developing since the approved levy concept, ask questions, and share any ideas you may have for consideration.
