Welcome

We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school on Tuesday August 29th.

1) Breakfast is available for all students beginning at 7:40 AM in the cafeteria. Note that the building is NOT open to students before 7:40 AM.

2) All 6th grade students (whether eating breakfast or not) meet in the cafeteria. There will be staff in the cafeteria informing students as to their homeroom. 6th grade homeroom teachers will pick up their homeroom students from the cafeteria starting at 7:55.

3) Upon arrival to school, 7th grade students meet in the gym. 7th grade students wishing to eat breakfast may do so in the cafeteria and walk to the gym once finished. There will be staff in the gym informing students as to their homeroom.

4) Upon arrival to school, 8th grade students meet in the auditorium. 8th grade students wishing to eat breakfast may do so in the cafeteria and walk to the auditorium once finished. There will be staff in the auditorium informing students as to their homeroom.

5) All students will receive copies of their schedules in homeroom on Tuesday. Schedules will not be available to view in ASPEN until that time.

6) Dismissal is at 2:30 for all students.

All 6th graders will receive their chromebook and charger in the first three days of school. WPS sent an email to all 6th grade families with a "Device Acceptance Form." Families must complete this form in order for their child to receive a chromebook. If you did not receive an email from WPS (search your spam folder) contact the McDevitt office and we can send a paper form home with your child.

Students who are being dropped off in the morning should do so following the blue traffic lines shown on the map linked here. Please note that the back driveway (marked with a blue arrow) is the only location for student drop off in the morning (at 7:40) or student pick up in the afternoon (at 2:30). To protect the safety of our staff and to preserve parking spots for our staff, please do not drive through the Teacher Parking lots in order to drop off your student or park in staff parking spaces prior to dropping off your child. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

For the 2023-2024 school breakfast and lunch remains free for all students. Nevertheless, all students must still enter their four digit Mosaic Pin number in order to receive a lunch. You will find the four digit Mosaic Pin number on the demographic tab in Aspen. See here for an example of where this is located. A card with this number will be given to all students at the beginning of the year and it will be expected that students remember it. Students will have opportunities to practice using the code with their card during the first week of school.
