Can you believe it is almost time to flip the calendar to August? I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and finding ways to stay cool during this warm stretch of weather. I hope that everyone will be able to squeak in a few more vacation days before the start of the school year and that you are soaking up all the fun that summer has to offer. It always goes so fast, but it is also exciting to think about another school year! I have been running into many of you around town and it has been wonderful seeing all of you and hearing about how your summer has been going. Enjoy these last few weeks as we gear up for a fantastic 2023-2024 school year!

It has been a busy summer here at Rose Glen as the custodians have been working diligently to ensure that the building sparkles for all you on that first day. Our teachers have been coming in and setting up their rooms and engaging in learning connected to writing and math. We are also finishing up hiring as we look to finalize our last special education teacher position that is available. We are also in the end stages of hiring for special education and regular education assistants. You will see posting links for the regular education and special education assistant positions below.

Just a reminder that Picture Day will be THURSDAY, AUGUST 17th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pictures will take place in the Rose Glen Gym. Please know there will be another date during the first few months of school if you are not able to make it or if you decide you want to have your child's picture retaken. Below are the dates for Back to School events, Conferences, and Concerts. There will be plenty more dates to add to your calendars in terms of additional school and PTO Events, Vacation Days, and Early Release Dates. These are just a couple of dates to get your calendar going to start the year.

4K & Kindergarten Jump Start:

4K Morning Class: Tuesday, August 15th from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM

4K Afternoon Class: Tuesday, August 15th from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM

Kindergarten: Tuesday, August 15th from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

(More details and sign-up to will be coming out in July!)

Picture Day:

Thursday, August 17th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(A second picture day will be at the start of the school year within the school day. This will also serve as a make-up day as needed.)

Rose Glen Open House:

Wednesday, August 30th from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

(This is an opportunity for all students to meet their teachers, see their classroom, and drop supplies off).

First Day of School:

Tuesday, September 5th from 8:30 AM to 3:40 PM

Conferences:

Thursday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 24th from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 21st from 4:30 to 8:00 PM.

Grade Level Concerts:

Second Grade: Tuesday, December 6th @ 5:30 PM

Fourth Grade: Wednesday, December 7th @ 5:30 PM

First Grade: Tuesday, March 5th @ 5:30 PM

We know one of the most anticipated events before the start of the school year is knowing your child's teacher! We anticipate that this information will be shared in early August.

Below is the link for school supplies for the 2023-2024 school year. Each grade level has its own list of supplies to bring. There will be multiple opportunities to drop supplies off before the start of the school year.
