3rd Grade Reading with Mrs. Deegan-Smith

Hello 3rd Graders! Please look at each ELA Course below (in the chart) to help you prepare for the week of October 15-19.

IMPORTANT!!

Over the last week, we have discovered the OLS is NOT marking Literature lessons overdue . When you do not complete your assigned literature lesson, the OLS simply moves it to the next day without marking it overdue or completed late. You should be completing a literature lesson every day. ALL students regardless of start dates should be working in Literature Unit 5. I have included a picture below that shows the lessons that you should be completing daily this week.

Reading Class Connect:

We will read "October Party" and discuss the novels we are reading.

Remember today, Friday, October 12 is the last day of quarter 1 and all OLS assessments should be completed.

Continue to work on those multiplication facts! Complete 3 or more sessions this week - make sure are logging in using the instructions that were sent. These are participation TGA's that should be completed weekly (9 points each). Every week you will check the grade level newsletter to see which Music Studio lessons to complete. Just open Unit 1, Lesson 1 in the OLS and click the link to take you to Music Studio! (This is why everything in the OLS for Music EXCEPT for Unit 1, Lesson 1 has been marked skipped.)

Reminder - Mrs. Bass updates the gradebook every Friday at the end of the day. Please check the gradebook Monday morning to see your up-to-date grade!

3rd Grade Health/PE/Art with Ms. Buchanan

Happy Friday!!! I know yall have been busy working hard in your lessons all week.

Health/PE Update:

To help with your school day, we will no longer have our Health and PE CC. This is a great time you can spend working on your OLS lessons and TGAs

TGAs are updated now and available in the Gradebook. If you are missing any please get them completed.

The Hive:

We will continue to have Kahoot in the main room. Thank you LCs that have helped monitor chat and the rooms this week. I know it is wild in there but, it's recess. I hope everyone has had a blast!!!
