The South Dakota State Library invites librarians around the state to join us for the 6th Annual Performance Showcase. This free, virtual event allows you the opportunity to learn more about local and national performers and connect with other librarians about booking performers while earning contact hours from the State Library.
Registration for the Performance Showcase is open between now and November 1. The playlist of the performers’ videos opens on November 7, and a link will be sent to participants to view these videos. Participants are encouraged to watch these videos before the live Zoom event, which will take place on November 18 at 10am CT.
During the live Zoom event, librarians will have the opportunity to meet with performers and ask them questions. There will also be time at the end of the Zoom event to talk with other South Dakota librarians regarding their plans for booking performers.
All acts are brought to you by Rick Eugene Brammer, a professionally performing magician for the past twenty-eight years. Rick has worked hard to compile a variety of different acts guaranteed to meet all your needs.
This event is worth four contact hours for you, library staff, and/or your library board members if you attend the live Zoom meeting. If you cannot attend the live Zoom event, you can still earn three contact hours for registering and watching the performer videos and Zoom recording. Participants will be sent a feedback form after the event that must be completed to receive contact hours.
