Hoping that everyone had a great weekend and took some time to get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather - it's definitely hard to believe that it is November.

Thank you Glenview students and families for attending GMS conferences, it was great to see the halls filled with families learning more about supporting their students learning.

SHOUT OUT to the GMS Staff - THANK YOU for all you do each day and the great turn-out for conferences was a direct reflection of your hard work.

Armed Forces Week...

Throughout the district this week we will be celebrating Armed Forces Week - show your support each day by wearing the COLOR of the day. The different days and colors are explained below - Looking forward to seeing the halls full of the Color of the Day...

Monday

• Gold - Identified for parents and widows of service members who lost their lives in the U.S. Armed forces it also identifies to bring all service members home safely.

Tuesday

• Armed Forces Apparel - Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, Space Force

Wednesday

• Purple - Symbolizes all the Branches of the Armed Forces

Thursday

• Camouflage apparel or Armed Forces apparel

Friday

• RED, WHITE and BLUE apparel
• 13 folds of American Flag Assembly for 6th grade at 9:00am in the GMS South Gym

In the month of November the SEL (Social, Emotional, Learning) Lessons for all grades will be focused on Gratitude - We are calling this Gratitude Month! Please make sure to talk to your student about how you might show gratitude.

Checking your student’s progress in school is important! If you have not set up and linked your student’s account, here are links to help you...

• Creating an account
• Linking your student’s account (You will need your student’s code for this step. If you have not received that, you can have your student log in and look at their account, it will be the code beginning with #, or contact the school for assistance.)
• Viewing the gradebook (5th/6th grade - use the standard view. 7th/8th grade - use the assessment view

• Boys Basketball Season kicks off this week! We will have theme days for the home games all season - see above for Boys Basketball Theme Days.

• Admission is $1 for students and $2 for adults. Go Gators!!

• Basketball and Cheer Photos will be during practice on 11/6. Flyers have gone home with students.
