Hello E.O. Green Community,
Thank you for taking the time to read the bulletin with important information for the family and your student. Here are some updates for this coming week:
Please be aware that on Monday, October 18, 2021, the office will close at 2:30 for professional development training. I appreciate your understanding. Dismissal is at the regular time, 2:30 pm.
Friday, October 22 - Minimum Day for Planning and Collaboration (1:00 pm dismissal)
Join us on October 20, 2021, for a presentation titled Pandemic Stress and Impact on Students and Families. Please see the meeting details below.
This week, October 21 (Thursday) and October 22 (Friday), we will be doing our hearing and vision screening. This screening is for eighth-grade and SDC students.
Parents, please encourage your student to continue accessing Khan Academy and SORA from home. These are excellent online tools for your student to practice math and reading. Your encouragement is appreciated.
Parents/guardians and community members, please help us ensure that we follow a safe routine for drop-off and pick-up times. Drop off or pick up your student at the curve, avoid the middle of the street. Please, avoid making “U” turns in front of our school to keep everyone safe.
We invite you to participate in the GradNation Parent Presentation on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 6:00 pm. Please, join our amazing counselors during this presentation. For more details, see the flyer below.
Exciting News!!! We will be offering an after-school music club for free for all our students. All interested students in learning to play an instrument like guitar, violin, etc., need to sign up with Mr. Ramos in room 27. He will be the Mariachi advisor. The Hueneme high school Mariachi teachers will be the music instructors. The first day of the music program orientation will be this Wednesday, October 19, 2021. The music program will be on Wednesday, 1:00 - 2:30, and Fridays, 2:30 - 4:30 pm. A complimentary snack will be provided to all participants. The music program is FREE. COME ON WEDNESDAY TO LEARN ABOUT THE MUSIC PROGRAM, MARIACHI. Meet in room 27, Mr. Ramos in 6th grade.

Yellow Federal Forms Need to Be Returned!
COVID Symptom Reminder and Return to School Requirements
Your student SHOULD NOT attend school if they have ANY of the common COVID-19 symptoms.
The current guidance advises staff members and students with symptoms of COVID-19 infection not to return for in-person instruction until they have met CDPH criteria to return to school for those with symptoms:
• No fever in the last 24 hours (without fever-reducing medications); and • Improvement of symptoms; and
• A negative COVID-19 PCR test OR note from doctor confirming another underlying medical condition OR note from doctor confirming another diagnosis OR at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset.
NO home tests or antigen tests accepted. Our district testing sites use PCR tests. See below about District COVID testing location days and times.

COVID Testing Sites!

There are two testing locations:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: Blackstock Junior High School, 701 E. Bard Road
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Haycox Elementary School, 5400 Perkins Road
Testing hours are10:00-4:00 at each location. Both testing sites are walk-up only, no appointments necessary.
To register your GREEN student for COVID testing please click here. This link is ONLY for GREEN students. Students only need to register once before the first time they take a COVID test at a district site.
