SSG Manuel R. Puentes Middle School #BELIEVE
Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!
Dear Puentes Middle School Community,
I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Puentes Middle School. My name is Greta Brasgalla, and I am truly excited to join this exceptional educational community. I have been in education for 31 years, 27 of them as a teacher. As we embark on this new journey together, our theme for the year is "Believe."
At SSG Manuel R. Puentes Middle School, we firmly believe in the boundless potential of our students. Each and every one of them possesses unique talents, abilities, and strengths. It is our collective responsibility to nurture and develop these qualities, empowering our students to reach their full potential.
I also have unwavering belief in the educational expertise of our dedicated teachers. They bring passion, knowledge, and innovation to the classroom every day, creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Together, we will foster an atmosphere of collaboration, creativity, and academic excellence.
Moreover, I have witnessed firsthand the culture of success that permeates the Puentes community. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, parents, and staff. I am humbled to be a part of this culture and look forward to building upon the strong foundation already established.
As we move forward, I encourage all students to attend school daily and arrive promptly at 7:45 a.m., as classes begin at 8 a.m. It is important to complete all assignments and actively engage in the learning process. We are committed to helping our students continually improve in literacy, math, and fine arts, preparing them for future success.
Furthermore, I urge our students to advocate for themselves if they ever need additional help or support. Our doors are always open, and we are here to listen, guide, and assist in any way we can.
Once again, I feel blessed to continue my journey in education at Puentes Middle School. Together, let us embrace the theme of "Believe" and create a nurturing, inclusive, and successful learning community.
See you soon,
Greta June Brasgalla, Principal

Back to School Night: Walk your Bobcat Trail!
- Bobcat families can access student schedules on Skyward and walk from class to class with their child.
- Teachers will have QR codes on their classroom doors with information such as their bio, contact/tutoring information, supply lists, classroom expectations, and dress code. Please scan the QR code to have access to all of your student's class information.
- We will have additional tables for volunteer sign up, LOC information, uniform information, etc.
- Drop in and spend as much time as you would like exploring your child's schedule.
For our incoming Bobcats, it is critical that they map out where to go for 1st period, as we will NOT ALLOW PARENTS TO WALK STUDENTS TO CLASS on the first day of school. We want our new Bobcats to exercise independence. Of course, we will have staff all over the building to assist.
