FMS Job Openings
Winter Clothing
While Vermont weather is unpredictable, it’s important students come to school with appropriate clothing for cold weather. This includes snow pants, jacket, boots, waterproof gloves and hat. We go outside every day - several times a day. We have morning recess at arrival, mid-day recess, and often go outside for Physical Education. We are outside when the “feels-like” temperature is above zero.
STEM Lab News
Students at FMS have started the Dash unit with Ms. Williams in the STEM lab. Students in all three grades will learn to code Dash and eventually travel with Dash across a map. Third grade will learn about the continents and Dash will travel to all seven continents. Fourth grade will learn about the States and Dash will travel across the United States, stopping at 2 states in each timezone. Fifth grade learns about the Western Hemisphere and will travel across South America. More pictures to follow!

The Bacon/Kitchen team was visited by one of their parents, Adam Weaver, who is a neuroscientist at St. Michael’s College. The class learned about how human brains work, and how the brains of spiders are studied to learn more about certain diseases and how they affect the brain. He even brought some of his spiders to show off. How cool! Thank you, Adam!
