Austin ISD Family Survey- We need your feedback!
Our goal in Austin ISD and here on campus is to continue to reflect and grow in order to best serve our students, staff, and families. We deeply value the feedback you provide through it's various channels. Please help us by providing feedback to the Austin ISD Family Survey (see below). The AISD Family Survey is now open. Every year Austin ISD asks families for their feedback about the educational experience of their children.
This year, AISD has partnered with Panorama Education to conduct the 2022-2023 Family Survey. The survey takes less than twenty minutes, and the disaggregated responses are shared with each campus. You may complete the survey online between March 21, 2023 and April 8, 2023 using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website

Survey note:
The questions have a range of 5 choices. Please be aware, the two 'positive' scores are joined together to create the 'positive' percentage. The middle as well as the three 'negative' scores are all joined together to create the 'negative' percentage. All neutral responses will count in the 'negative' score category for our campus.
📌 Slides from STAAR Informational Zoom for Families
If you missed the STAAR Informational session last week given by the Mills administrative team, we are linking the slides below. They detail big changes to the STAAR assessments for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
Students will be taking the STAAR assessments in Reading, Science, and Math on April 24, April 27, and May 3 (with makeup days provided).
Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or Principal Frageman with questions pertaining to the STAAR assessments.

Book Fair is Coming!
From our librarian, Ms. Rasmussen:
Book Fair is coming soon! We are thrilled to host a "Reading Ranch" themed Book Fair on April 10th-14th. Yee-Haw!
1) In an effort to make this fair as secure and easy as possible for all our students, staff members, and parents, this will be a NO CASH book fair. We're asking parents to please set up a Scholastic eWallet account for their children HERE. It's easy to create an eWallet for your student. Simply add funds or invite family and friends to contribute. It provides a safe, cashless way for students to shop for their own books in person and provides a secure contactless check-out. Scholastic recommends using Chrome as your browser and creating the eWallet using a computer instead of your phone.
2) We'll be open Monday (4/10), Tuesday (4/11) and Thursday (4/13), from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Parents may purchase books using credit cards, debit cards, or eWallet accounts. Also, on Wednesday, April 12th we'll close at 3:00pm, but then re-open from 5:30-7:00pm for our family night event. Kona Ice will be at Mills that evening as well. It should be a fun night for our Mills community!
3) All students will be coming to the Book Fair with their classes at a scheduled time during the week of April 10th-14th. We ask that if your child plans to purchase books at school, their eWallet account is set up by Monday, April 10th. To make shopping easier for your child, you can determine which items you'd like to purchase ahead of time by browsing the interactive book flyer HERE or looking at this LIST of books that will be included at the Book Fair.
