We are extremely excited to welcome back everyone to the new school year We can't wait to see all the smiling faces coming through the classroom doors on the first day of school. The entire staff are eager and looking forward to another great year at Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary.

This year we have some new faces and familiar faces joining our amazing staff. We are excited to have:

Carolynn Rockenbach (Preschool/Special Education), Taylor Neilsen (Kindergarten), Jennifer Meads (Kindergarten), Amy Garcia (1st Grade) Rebecca Chew (2nd Grade), Alyssa Welzien (4th Grade), Karl Edie (P-8 Assistant Principal) and Jennifer Root (Administrative Assistant).

These new staff members bring so much positivity, experience, and energy to our school. We are extremely glad they are now part of the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District family!

This year again we will be pushing out a monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with what is happening here at the elementary and in the classrooms. A good way to stay up to date, as well, is by visiting our district or elementary website or by following our district and elementary Facebook pages.

• Aug. 30th - Family Engagement Night at the Elementary (5:00-7:00)
• Sept. 6th - First Day of School!

• Sept. 27th - School Picture Day

Family Engagement Night will be tomorrow, August 30th, from 5:00-7:00. Come join us at the Elementary School to meet your new teacher, for everyone Preschool - 5th. Along with meeting your teacher, there will be a passport to tour the school, visit community organizations, and find out volunteer opportunities for the school!

Please drive slowly through the parking lot, drop off and pick up times are extremely busy.

Student drop off begins at 7:45, please use the parking spaces in front of the school. If those spaces are full please use the parking spaces along the playground fence line. We have designated crosswalks for students to cross the bus lane.

For the first week of school, parents can walk their student to their outside classroom doors to help them find their way!

Student Pick up will be located on the grass between the bus lane and the playground fence. As classes come out, please stay behind the green cones. When you see your student please, wait to make contact with your student's teacher before leaving with your student.

Parking is busy during this time. Please use caution pulling into the parking lot, as well as in and out of the parking spaces. It takes all of us being cautious to keep our students safe!

If there is any change in transportation for your student, please try to call the office beore 2:00. If you are picking up your student early, please try to call the office ahead of time so we can have your student ready!

There will be a station at Family Engagement Night with forms and information on different volunteering opportunities.

We will have information about Parent Volunteering, PAC, and Ed. Foundation.

• ASB for Preschool to Kindergarten Elementary students is $3.00, for 1st - 5th Grade is $5.00
• Student Drop off begins at 7:45, School Begins at 8:10.
• School Dismissal is at 2:55 (Mon.-Thurs.) and 1:55 early dismissal (Fri.)
