This year all of our students will be reading Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match / Marisol McDonald No Combina. The book is written by Monica Brown and illustrated by Sara Palacios. It is a bilingual book about a young girl who isn't afraid to be herself. The book celebrates her individuality and ethnic diversity. All students were given a copy of this book to keep.
Our students will be completing an art activity centered around this book. You will also have a family activity to complete at home. We will celebrate this book by having a Spirit Week the last week of school, as well as a Virtual Family Night.
