As we welcome families back to school, we hope you were able to take some time over the summer to enjoy moments with your family and friends. As you are preparing your students to begin another school year, we want you to remember the importance of parental mental health. The August Mental Health Newsletter (English) (Spanish) emphasizes the importance of parents’ mental health and outlines steps for healthy coping strategies. As a caregiver to children, it is important that you take the time to care for yourself as well!

Check out the ParentGuidance.org resources where you can access free courses led by licensed therapists on more than 50 topics. Check out the course titled, How to Develop Self-Compassion, by Dr. Paul Parkin. To access the course, login by creating or using your username and password to ParentGuidance.org.

NJHS members interested in signing up to run for office can go to the main office to find the sign up sheet.

The RJHS Cafeteria offers a variety of ala carte items such a bottled drinks and pre-packaged snacks. Students WILL NOT be allowed to charge these items to their lunch account. They must have payment in hand to purchase these items from the RJHS cafeteria.

RJHS students were issued badges this week. It is very important that students keep up with these ID badges throughout this school year. They will need then daily as a student at RJHS. These badges are used in the cafeteria to charge lunch accounts, in the library to check out books, and with our Technology department to check out and repair laptops. Please remind your student(s) to keep their ID badge with them in a safe plac every day.

*8th graders will NOT be issued a computer unless they have their ID badge with them on Tuesday.

Second order deadline is September 1, 2023. Payment will be credit card in the online site.

It is the goal of RJHS teachers and staff to keep student grades updated weekly for parents and guardians to stay aware of their child's/ children's progress throughout the semester. If you are having trouble accessing HAC (Home Access Center) you can email Jennifer Roberts for help with login credentials.
