Tomorrow, we will be pulling our first PAW PRINT winners of the year! What are these paw prints you may ask? These are given out to students who are demonstrating being Respectful, Responsible, and Kind throughout different areas in the school. Every Friday, we pull one winner from each den color. Each paw print winner will receive a certificate to take home, a paw print to proudly display on their locker, and their picture will be featured in the Mill Valley Weekly. We can't wait to see who the winners are tomorrow!

During the first weeks of school, students have been learning/relearning about the expectations in each area of the school. Please talk to your child about the expectations and have them explain what they need to do in each area to be respectful, responsible and kind. Together we can make Mill Valley the place to be!

We are excited to begin Learning Luncheons in October!

Learning Luncheons are provided to students that are in need of some EXTRA TLC for a variety of reasons (divorced parents, friendship/social concerns, loss, etc).

The Learning Luncheon group meets twice (at lunch time). These are informal, 20-minute interactions, in which two to four students get to enjoy a private lunch with Jen Losey (School Psychologist) and Deanna Nowicki (School Social Worker). Books may be read during this time, games played, or students can just talk about specific concerns about what is going on in their lives.

Anyone (including Teachers, EA's, IA's and parents) can initiate the name of a student that would be a good candidate for the Learning Luncheon. You would simply fill out the Learning Luncheon Form, and Jen and Deanna will then schedule accordingly.
