Another great week in the books at Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary! We celebrated National School Counselors Week and also kicked our February Celebration of Black History Month. We also want to say congratulations to our Jack Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Taylor Green! Please read below as we have important events coming up in a few weeks, including Student Led Conferences. Also as a reminder, Pre-K registration is now open and as well as our transfer window. If you have any questions please contact the front office.

All Tyler ISD elementary schools will be participating in a very important presentation called Play it Safe! that teaches children about personal safety. During the 45-minute session, a representative from the Children’s Advocacy Center will present research-based, age-appropriate script to teach children to recognize, react to, and report dangerous situations as part of our ongoing effort to protect all children from abuse and other harmful situations.

The program is voluntary, which means that you do not have to allow your child to participate. Students will have a permission slip in their folder on Tuesday, February 9th that explains the presentation in full. Please sign and return the bottom of this letter only if you DO NOT want your child to participate. If we do not receive the form, we will assume your child has permission to be included. We have Patriots that have returned to campus this six weeks and wanted to send out a reminder about our dismissal procedures. Please know that we no longer have walk up dismissal. You have the option of using our carline, or your child can be a walker. Please let you teacher know how your Patriot will be getting home each day. If something changes for an emergency, please let our front office know and we can inform our teachers.
