Family Communication September 25
Weekly Pond News
Hello Otter families,
We are excited to have launched our school read-a-thon fundraiser! We are excited for students to earn their prizes and help us raise funds for campus improvements. However, please encourage your child to bring them home and play at home to minimize the possible distraction in class. Parents will also have the opportunity to come on campus to read with their child to support their love of reading. Each grade level has a specific day and time that parents can come to read. Every parent has to be entered into our Raptor system, so remember to bring your license. Please see the spirit and reading days below for information on each grade level.
Have an OTTERific Day!

Lunch Visitors
We look forward to welcome families back on campus to have lunch with your child as of October 2nd. A few reminders about visiting campus and having lunch with your child. Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child, weather permitting. Parents must sign in, with a valid ID at the office to receive a visitor badge. Due to our enrollment growth and safety commitment for all students, we limit our lunch visitors to outdoor seating only. To ensure the safety and supervision of all children, parent may only have lunch with their child(ren). We encourage families to limit visits to once a month. Lunch time one of the few times of the day were children can socialize with their classmates.

Wednesday Dens Day
Why?
The den system will encourage "Den" building and bonding between students in all grade levels. It will continue OES path of positive culture and relationships with students and staff.
Den Points:
Throughout the year the Dens will compete against each other in competitions and events to accumulate Den points. Individual students can also continue to accumulate points for their Den by demonstrating Otter Principles and following expectations of being safe, being responsible, and being respectful.
Spin Tickets:
Students can earn spin tickets from Den leaders and random staff members. If a student earns a spin ticket, they will get the opportunity to spin the wheel on Wednesday and earn points for their team.
At the end of the year, the Den with the most points wins the Den Championship- and all the honor and glory that goes with it!
Attendance (All Day)
Car Rider Parents
All families should be using the car loop to drop off their child in the morning. Parking and walking your child is not an option open to everyone. We know the line is long but we do begin unloading at 9:20 and unload close to 20 cars at a time. PreK families have special special permission for liability reasons.
Dismissal Reminders:
Our dismissal process has become a routine for students and we complete car dismissal by 4:15 most days. Families should be on campus and inline by 4:10. If you arrive and the gate has been closed, you will need to pull around and park. You will go to the front office to collect your child(ren). Parents must show their 23-24 car tag or a valid ID.
