PAC BBQ

On Friday, June 22nd the PAC committee will be hosting a hot dog bbq for the students, parents/families and staff at CMS from 11am - 1pm.

More information and order forms will be posted on our website and sent home closer to the date.

Grade 5 and 6

DATE: Tuesday, June 12th (no rain date)

PLACE: SMS Track

TIME: 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

*Food and drinks available (canteen by CMS PAC)

*Parents welcome

*All students will be participating

*1500 m run will be on Tuesday, June 5th at 1:30 p.m.

Grade 7 and 8

DATE: Friday, June 8th (rain date: June 11th)

PLACE: SMS Track

TIME: 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

*Food and drinks are available

*Parents welcome

*Only students participating in Track and Field events will be outside; others will have regularly scheduled classes.

*1500 m run will be on Thursday, June 7th at 4:00 p.m. (students need their own transportation)

Red River College-Red Cross Babysitting Course

This course is designed to prepare adolescents 11 years of age and older for babysitting. Participants will learn important child care skills, safety tips for children of all ages, how to cope with common problems, how to make the children's environment safe and enjoyable, some great games and what to do in case of an emergency. Students need to bring a doll or teddy bear, pencil and eraser and a lunch. Students will need to be signed in and out by an adult.

Code Makers Camp for ages 13-15

WISE Kid-Netic Energy All-Girls Codemakers Camp is coming to Steinbach this summer!

When: July 30-August 3, 2018

Where: Clearspring Middle School

WISE Kid-Netic Energy will be in Steinbach soon! Spots are filling, so this may be your last chance to register for this day camp. Learn the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking using fun gadgets like Cozmo robots, littleBits Coding Kits, 3-D printers and more. Come and join the fun!

There are a total of 20 camper spots available for the week, open to youth ages 13 – 15 (by December 31, 2018). Registration is FREE for this one-week camp thanks to CanCode funding from the federal government. Registration is available online at www.wisekidneticenergy.ca.
