On Thursday, East Fallowfield held our building science fair. We had many scientists enter the competition this year and we are thrilled to recognize them. Although 4th and 5th grade projects are the only ones able to move on to compete in the district fair, we want to shout out our students in grades K-3 who participated in our science fair. Congratulations to: Wesley Burt (1st grade), Serafina DeMarzo (2nd grade), Katherine and Kaitlyn Soto-Mendez (2nd grade) and Nathan Ojikutu (3rd grade). We are excited to see what projects you will bring to the fair next year!

A big thank you to our science fair judges who volunteered their time to support our scientists. And it's important to recognize the woman behind the scenes, Mrs. Joann Billman, our STEM teacher and Science Fair Coordinator. Thank your for all of your time and effort in preparing our students for this event. Best of luck to our students moving on to the district fair!

On Wednesday, January 18th, students were able to turn in their Class Dojo points at our PBIS School Store. Some students were happy to shop at the store while others are saving their points for bigger prizes like doing the morning announcements, a private lunch with friends, basketball with Mr. Washington and principal for the day! Students earn Dojo points by SOARing and following our school expectations of Safety, Ownership, Acceptance and Respect. Keep Soaring EF!

Each Friday on the morning announcements, we have our Eagle Eye Ticket Drawing to celebrate good bus behavior. The prizes vary from week to week and this week's prize was a hot chocolate party with Mrs. Willis. Congratulations to last week's winners. Keep SOARing!

It's time to order your yearbooks! Our online ordering is available and we will be sending out paper order forms when we receive them from the company.

Thank you for supporting our pretzel sale. Pretzel Orders will be delivered Thursday, January 26th.

Candy Grams are back for the month of February. All orders are due by February 6th and each candy gram is $1.00 each. The order form is below for your reference but hard copies also went home with students today.

Looking for a career change? The Coatesville Area School District, Krapf Bus Company, and The Substitute Teacher Service are hosting a Job Fair this Saturday, January 21st. The Job Fair will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Coatesville Area School District Administration Building, located at 3030 C.G. Zinn Road in Thorndale. Please join us!

Due to the snow day on Thursday, December 15, 2022, Coatesville Area School District will be utilizing its first snow makeup day. The district will be in session for students and staff on February 17, 2023. We will not be adjusting any end of marking period or trimester dates and grade reporting will remain as scheduled.

This year at East Fallowfield we are revamping our PBIS program and focusing on our Big East Expectations of Safety, Ownership, Acceptance and Respect. Last week, students had the opportunity to learn what these expectations look like, sound like, and feel like in different areas around the school including the classroom, cafeteria, playground, bus, hallway, and bathrooms.

Students are so excited to be rewarded for meeting these expectations with Class Dojo points. Parents please be sure to accept the Class Dojo invite from your child's teacher so you can track the great work they are doing in class.
