Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella - We're in the final week of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella! There are still plenty of general admission seats available for the remaining shows, so please spread the word with your friends and family.

We had THREE amazing groups of ArtSparkers at Trollwood this past week! The first group of 6-8 year old students performed "Giraffes Can't Dance!" and were taught by Jill Kadrmas and Madi Wilts. The second 6-8 year old group's performance was titled "Wing It!" Their teachers were Amy Dalager and Rachel Gillen. Finally, our 9-11 year old group's play was called "Doctor Mercury & the Stupendously Terrific Greater Pacific Time Machine." They were taught by Dan Glaser and Erin Schmidt. FREE shuttles will be offered for all productions of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella thanks to a partnership with the City of Moorhead MATBUS system. Shuttle parking and pickup will be located at the Azool Hornbacher's parking lot in Moorhead before and after shows. All MATBUS riders are required to wear masks. If you do not have a mask available, MATBUS will provide one for you.

If you’ve seen a Trollwood Mainstage Musical at all in the past twenty years, you’ve seen the incredible work of Jack Mehler! The New York based theatre designer has returned to Trollwood to design the scenery and lighting for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella this summer. Matt Gasper lives in Moorhead, Minnesota and is currently a master instructor and owner of Gasper's School of Dance (Fargo, ND), Artistic Director of the Fargo Moorhead Ballet, and an adjunct professor and the head of the theatre dance program at North Dakota State University. His contributions to the dance community and the art form throughout his thirty plus year career include roles as principal dancer, master instructor, choreographer, dance adjudicator, and artistic director. Matt was a company member and performed with Cleveland San Jose Ballet Company in principal roles in Nutcracker, Rodeo, Coppelia, Swan Lake, and Blue Suede Shoes. In New York, Matt performed in Appleamondo’s Dreams, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, and Fiddler on the Roof to his vita, along with television and film productions Center Stage, The Drew Carey Show, Picture This, and Blue Suede Shoes. ​An ABT-Certified Instructor, Matt has taught as a guest master instructor around the United States. His choreography work has been performed regionally and nationally at Regional Dance America (RDA), dance festivals, as well as dance competitions.

Trollwood Players ramped up even more this week with casting and rehearsals. This year's show is called "Life Cycles" and is a series of 10 plays that are 10 minutes each. Together, the scenes feature a day in the life of Fargo. The play is written and directed by Kevin Kennedy. Each week, Trollwood Performing Arts School will be celebrating its senior students through feature articles. You will get to know each student who is graduating this year and what their plans are for life after high school. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them luck in their future endeavors!

Senior Zachary Schwengler has many great memories and experiences from his seven years at Trollwood. He was a cast member of the previous two Mainstage Musicals and is also in the ensemble for Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella this summer. Strike is required for all Mainstage Musical members unless you have been released from Strike duties for another Trollwood program. Please meet at the amphitheater each day for your daily assignments.

Student Leaders: Please report to Trollwood on Friday, August 6 at 10 a.m. to finish Strike. Please dress in clothes that are appropriate for painting.

Strike Safety Regulations:

• SAFETY takes priority over anything else, all the time, no exceptions
• Closed-toed shoes are required at all times
• No loose clothing may be worn in the shop
• Always be aware of your surroundings and other work that may be occurring
• Be polite - be a team player - be on time - be willing to learn

This year's Mainstage Musical Production Party will be held on Thursday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. We invite students and parents to come and help us celebrate what will surely be a successful run of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella.
