It is that time of year when we begin searching for all children who will be eligible for Kindergarten to join us for the 2024-25 Kindergarten Round-up. If you are a parent of child who will be entering Kindergarten next year, there are a few reasons why Round-up is necessary.
Round-up allows us to adequately prepare for the upcoming school year by estimating the number of students in each of our schools. This helps in hiring teachers, support staff, and allocating resources effectively. Round-up provides a chance for parents to obtain important information about supplies, procedures, and policies. It is also an opportunity acquire knowledge regarding your child's first year of formal education.
East Noble uses Round-up events to conduct basic assessments or screenings of incoming students to identify any potential academic or developmental concerns early on. This can help in providing appropriate support and resources to students who may need it. These screeners may take place the day of Round-up or at a prescheduled time, depending on the school in which your child is enrolling.
Kindergarten round-up can allow staff to build relationships with incoming students and parents. It also permits time to discover appropriate resources, which can be beneficial for both students and their families as they shift into the school setting.
Round-up is an opportunity for parents to complete essential documents, such as enrollment forms, medical records, and other paperwork required for your child to begin the school year.
Overall, Kindergarten Round-up plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for both students and families into the formal education system. East Noble welcomes all parents of eligible students to see the information below and join us for the beginning of your child’s successful academic journey. If you know of someone with a child that is eligible for Kindergarten, please share the Round-up information below.
Thank you for choosing East Noble!

East Noble Middle School FACS Show Sewing Talents and Cooking Talents
The East Noble Middle School FACS classes this week were hard at work displaying their talents of sewing and cooking. The FACS sewing classes were working away on some amazing designs. The design style and pattern is called Cupcake Mix. They still have a couple days to work on their projects, but overall, they are all looking fantastic as the students are feeling more confident using the sewing machines. This past Friday, the FACS 6th grade students made French Toast! The students formed groups and worked together to make a great meal. Using teamwork, good communication, and their cooking skills, students were able to complete their meals on time. In the end, they were asked to set their tables, eat as a family, then finalize the event by washing the dishes.
East Noble High School Library Busy with Fun Events
It was a busy time Wednesday and Thursday at the East Noble High School library. On Wednesday, they held a Red-Carpet event in their library for their book loving enthusiastic students. The top readers in the school were invited and were welcomed into the library for punch and cookies. When they arrived they found tables that were filled with new books for the 2023-2024 school year. This gave the loyal book readers a chance to prescreen and check out the new books before they were released to the rest of the student. It was a big hit! Students enjoyed previewing and checking out the new books that will soon be in circulation for all students!
On Thursday was the start of their "Blind Date with a Book".
Calling all book enthusiasts and new readers at East Noble High School! All this month, the library will be hosting "Blind Date with a Book". New books to the library will be available to students, but the the genre or title is unknown, hence the "blind date" experience. The wrapped book includes a brief description of the hidden book, the genre, and a small excerpt from the book. It is a great way for students to broaden their book horizon, and not to mention, it is a cheap date because its free! All students at the High School are welcome to stop at the library during the month of February to experience a "Blind Date with a Book"

East Noble Transportation Department
"I would like to take a little time to recognize a special group of East Noble School Corporation team members who are always there to answer when called upon. This group has risen to the occasion and performed as “Rock Stars” through sub zero temperatures, snow, ice, and fog in the past several days to safely transport approximately 2,333 students to and from school and extracurricular activities. Many of us know how frustrating it can be driving our own families around with kids creating distractions in the back seat, trying to maneuver through traffic, construction, detours, etc. Imagine doing this as the only adult on a school bus with anywhere from 40-80 kids behind you, to me that is an accomplishment by itself, not to mention trying to do it in less than favorable conditions. Each morning, I have the opportunity to be a part of a small team that gets to evaluate road conditions to determine whether or not it is safe to transport kids to school. While there is a lot that goes into making the final decision, I am more grateful for our Transportation Department that is ALWAYS there at game time. These 55 individuals consist of Bus Drivers, both regular route drivers and substitutes, Mechanics, Secretary, and Director. Everyday these individuals are sitting on the sidelines just waiting, saying “put me in coach” and are there to answer the call. East Noble School Corporation is fortunate to have such loyal, dedicated, and caring individuals behind the wheel transporting the most precious cargo anyone could ever carry, our students. For these reasons I would like to name our entire Transportation Department as our East Noble School Corporation Champions of the week. I would like to say thank you for all that you do and continue to do for our students, staff, and community. You are appreciated!"
‘Sincerely,
Brian Leitch

A little about East Noble Transportation Department
East Noble Transportation is comprised of 50 bus drivers serving in many capacities (daily route drivers, full-time Pre-School & Special Needs Route Drivers, and substitute drivers) supporting the educational endeavors of our students and schools. Our department is also supported by two full time, certified diesel technicians, and our department secretary who works tirelessly to meet the ever-changing needs of student transport schedules and locations. The “all-hands-on-deck” approach to East Noble’s transportation plan means that ALL of our team members possess a commercial driver’s license and are able to hop in to transport students when needed. We’re excited to be part of an organization that values our contributions to the education of our students and recognizes that our window of influence for students, while short in duration, is meaningful and valuable.
